The Coffee Cultural Landscape
Calarcá lies within Colombia’s Coffee Cultural Landscape, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011: a band of mountains across Caldas, Quindío, Risaralda and Valle del Cauca where coffee is planted on steep slopes and picked by hand, farm by farm.
It’s the same landscape our coffee comes down from. So coffee here isn’t something shipped in from somewhere else — it’s grown half an hour from the table where you’re drinking it.
